I was tasked with spearheading a copy overhaul of Netflix emails, push notifications, and in-app alerts. For 2024, we first infused more of the excitement fandoms have come to know from Netflix exclusives. Second, we conducted months-long copy tests featuring dozens of variants to ensure open rates were not harmed as a result of balancing info with brand voice. The result ended up being increased positive metrics on a lot of our communications and a good basis for future tone experimentation. Oh, and they all sounded super fun.
